Margit Hideg came to Canada in 1989, of Hungarian background
from the Transylvania region
of Romania. Arriving with an Hons. BFA, Margit later studied
in Detroit and at the Canadian
Film Centre in Toronto. Margit's work has been shown in Europe,
U.S.A., galleries in Toronto,
Montreal and Ottawa as well as the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
"Pulp painting on canvas is a process of composing a
memory of body vibrations. Similar to oral
music and storytelling: fluid, always changing and evolving
into something new."
