Happy New Year!

I invite you to our first show, on the first Friday of 2006 from 6.00pm to 8.00pm in the 'Upstairs Gallery' at Snapdragon Gallery.

The title of the show is 'Journeys', oil paintings on wood by Hedda Sidla. The often large-scale works are symbolic interpretations of real and imaginary journeys.

Hedda will talk about how she layers and removes paint repeatedly, until the desired degree of colour balance, depth and luminosity is achieved.

These images embrace themes of remembrance, reverence and connection that have been inspired by travels over and through the Canadian landscape.

I look forward to seeing you this Friday, 6th January.
